Manama, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), highlighted the significance of International Youth Day as an opportunity to recognise the crucial role of youth in shaping the future of the nation. His Highness said that Bahrain acknowledges its youth as a key for sustainable development and prosperity, affirming the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the dedicated efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs. "Our leadership's vision has consistently focused on creating a supportive environment that empowers youth to realise their ambitions," said His Highness. "On this day, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to fostering youth participation across all sectors. Empowering youth is not just a national duty but also an investment in our collective future. We see a capable leader and a bright future in every young person." His Highness also expressed pride in the achievements of Bahraini youth in various fields, including science, sports, culture, and social development.
