Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (89) of 2024, announcing a cabinet reshuffle, based on the proposal by the Prime Minister. According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree outlines significant changes in the ministerial positions. As per Article 1 of the decree, Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, and Osama bin Ahmed Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, have been referred to retirement. Article 2 of the decree highlights new appointments in the cabinet. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has been appointed as the new Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, while Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi will take over as the Minister of Social Development. The provisions of this decree, as stated in Article 3, are to be implemented by the Prime Minister. The decree is effective immediately from its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
