Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was congratulated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of McLaren winning first and second place at the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2024. His Royal Highness highlighted that the Kingdom's achievements across all fields, particularly in motor racing, are the result of His Majesty the King's far-reaching visions and directives, to which the Kingdom is committed in order to strengthen Bahrain's position internationally, regionally, and locally. The achievements of McLaren are just one of many successes achieved thanks to Team Bahrain's solid strategy, successful investment, excellent implementation and ongoing follow-up. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised that this victory reinforces the Kingdom of Bahrain's position in motor racing, particularly Formula 1, following the Kingdom's success in hosting and organising the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix for 20 years, transfo rming it into the "Home of Motorsport in the Middle East."
