Jeddah: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has been awarded the Arab Tourism Excellence Medal by the Arab Tourism Organization. This prestigious recognition highlights His Majesty's significant contributions to fostering joint Arab action and enhancing integration among Arab states, with a particular focus on advancing the tourism sector.

According to Oman News Agency, the medal was received by Sayyid Najib bin Hilal Al Busaidi, the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The presentation took place during a formal meeting with Dr. Bandar bin Fahd Al Fuhaid, President of the Arab Tourism Organization, at the organization's headquarters in Jeddah. This accolade underscores the Sultanate's commitment to promoting tourism as a vital component of regional cooperation and development.
