Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of congratulations to President To Lam of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on being elected and sworn-in as his country's new President.

According to Oman News Agency, in the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his heartfelt sentiments and best wishes of success to President To Lam in leading the people of his country in the march of progress and development on all spheres. His Majesty also wished the bilateral relations of cooperation and partnership further progress and expansion in a manner that serves mutual interests.
