Hundreds of new Nazca glyphs have been discovered in the desert of southern Peru, adding to the mystery of these ancient designs. Using drones and AI, a team led by Masato Sakai from Yamagata University uncovered 303 new geoglyphs, nearly doubling the known number to over 700. The Nazca glyphs, first discovered in the 1940s, are large-scale designs etched into the ground, best viewed from the sky. Created between 500 BCE and 500 CE, their purpose has puzzled archaeologists for decades.
