Manama, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, participated as a keynote speaker in an event organised by the Bahrain India Society. Vinod Kurian Jacob, Ambassador of India to Bahrain, attended the event. Minister Fakhro affirmed historic longstanding relations between Bahrain and India. India stands as one of Bahrain's largest trading partners, with a trade volume reaching approximately $1.1 billion in recent years. This trade encompasses a wide range of industries, including technology, healthcare, education, and telecommunications. The minister explained that recent years had a surge in two-way investments in sectors such as real estate, banking, and hospitality, while Indian investments in Bahrain have significantly impacted Bahrain's manufacturing and information technology sectors. Fakhro also noted that the relationship between Bahrain and India is a model of successful partnership, affirming the mutual keenness to continue fostering innovation and entrepreneurship for the bene fit of the two countries.
