Muscat: President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque as part of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman. Upon arrival, he and his delegation were welcomed by Habib Mohammed Al Riyami, Chairman of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science. According to Oman News Agency, the Iranian President and his delegation received a briefing on the mosque's history and its unique Omani and Islamic architectural features. The tour included visits to various facilities within the mosque, such as the library and lecture hall. At the end of his visit, President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian signed the VIP visitors' register, noting his appreciation for the mosque's design and architectural artistry. He highlighted its significance as an exemplary model of Islamic architectural arts and its contribution to the promotion of Islamic studies. The visit was attended by several officials from both nations.
