The ''Islamic Resistance'' announced on Wednesday in a statement that "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, our fighters destroyed three Merkava tanks with guided missiles at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, as they were advancing towards the town of Maroun al-Ras."
