The statement from the ministry highlighted the murder of 564 teachers and administrators and the injury of 3,729 others in the Gaza Strip. It also noted the arrest of at least 153 students in the occupied West Bank by the Israeli occupation forces. The report detailed the bombing and vandalism of 441 government schools, universities, and related buildings, and 65 affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip, along with the complete destruction of 77 other schools. In the occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation reportedly stormed and vandalized 91 schools and seven universities. The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education confirmed that the Israeli occupation has deliberately deprived at least 788,000 students in the Gaza Strip of attending their schools and universities since the start of the genocide. The ministry pointed out that most students are suffering from psychological trauma and facing difficult health conditions due to the ongoing conflict.
