Tyre: Five people were killed and another injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Al Shahabiya in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon. According to Oman News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the preliminary death toll from the Israeli airstrike on Barja in Mount Lebanon last night has risen to 20 dead and 14 wounded, with rescue and rubble removal operations still ongoing. The National News Agency (NNA) reported additional Israeli air raids on the towns of Yahmor Al Shaqif and Arnoun, accompanied by artillery shelling in eastern Yahmor, located in the Nabatieh District of southern Lebanon. In Tyre, warplanes targeted the town of Deir Qanoun Al Nahr, resulting in extensive property damage. Lebanon has experienced increased Israeli military aggression since October 2023. However, since the end of September, there has been an unprecedented surge in the intensity of aerial and artillery bombardment by Israel. The scope of these attacks has expanded to reach the capital, B eirut, causing the deaths and injuries of thousands of Lebanese citizens and displacing more than a million people from their homes.
