BEIRUT: Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes on various towns and villages in southern Lebanon, including areas in Baalbek. The attacks began at approximately 3:45 pm on Friday, targeting the Maraiseh neighborhood in Ansar, among other locations. According to National news agency - Lebanon, the airstrikes included five consecutive raids on the area between Deir al-Zahrani and Ezza. In Baalbek, two raids targeted Younin, specifically the Al-Atrash and Al-Salah neighborhoods. The towns of Al-Zrariyeh and Majdel Zoun also faced attacks, with Al-Zrariyeh being hit in two waves. A building in Hosh al-Nabi was among the targets in Baalbek, while Hermel saw a strike on the international road in Labweh. Further raids were reported in the southern town of Tebnin at around 3:30 pm, and a mechanical garage near Ain Abel was hit by a missile from an Israeli drone, causing vehicles to catch fire. Baalbek's Hadath Baalbek, near Taraya, was also targeted. The afternoon continued with strikes on Arabsalim an d Houmin al-Tahta, as well as multiple raids in Tyre, including the Raml neighborhood and areas near the Imam Hussein complex. Additional targets included the towns of Siddiqin, Zebqin, and Aiteet in the Tyre district. In Marjeyoun, a drone strike injured two citizens, prompting the Lebanese Red Cross to transport the wounded to a hospital. Tyre's Jouwayya was also targeted in the ongoing hostilities.
