Manama, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ma'awda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for General Supervision of Election Safety, issued Edict (62) of 2024, appointing an executive director of the by-elections for membership in the Council of Representatives. According to the edict, Counsellor Nawaf Abdullah Hamza, Chairman of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission, shall be appointed as the Executive Director for the by-elections to fill the membership of the Council of Representatives for the first electoral constituency in Muharraq Governorate. The executive director is responsible for overseeing all administrative and technical preparations necessary for the by-elections to fill the vacant membership in the Council of Representatives within the specified constituency. The executive director shall appoint the necessary staff members to support the election committees based on each committee's requirements. Source: Bahrain News Agency
