Beirut: Centrist Democrat International (IDC-CDI) organized a special dialogue meeting focused on Lebanon's current situation, featuring insights from Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel. During the meeting, Gemayel shared Kataeb's perspective on potential solutions aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in Lebanon. According to National news agency - Lebanon, Gemayel emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and the restoration of the State's authority to exercise control over all Lebanese territory. He highlighted the importance of limiting arms to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), proposing their deployment along the borders to uphold Lebanon's sovereignty. Gemayel also urged the implementation of international resolutions 1701 and 1559, in collaboration with international forces. Several members of the European Parliament and representatives from participating parliaments contributed to the discussion, expressing their unwavering support for Lebanon. They committed to aiding Lebanon in overcom ing its crisis while maintaining open communication channels to achieve this objective. The meeting saw attendance from notable figures such as Kataeb Political Bureau Member Joelle Bou Abboud and Head of Kataeb Foreign Affairs Department Marwan Abdallah, further emphasizing the significance of the dialogue in addressing Lebanon's challenges.
