The number of visitors to Khareef Dhofar (Monsoon Season) from the beginning of the season until 31 July 2024 amounted to 413,122 visitors, an increase of 4.3 percent compared to the same period in 2023, when the number amounted to 396,108 visitors, according to initial estimates of Khareef Dhofar 2024 released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). Estimated statistics showed that the number of Omani visitors increased by 3 percent, recording 305,070 visitors, while the number of visitors from the GCC states reached 66,998 visitors, up from 59,555 visitors during the same period in 2023. The number of visitors from other nationalities reached 41,054 visitors, up from 40,418 visitors. As many as 316,434 visitors came to Dhofar Governorate via the land port by the end of July 2024, while 96,688 visitors came via air, recording an increase of 7 percent compared to those arriving via air by the end of July 2023. It is worth noting that 95 percent of Khareef Dhofar visitors came during t he period from 1 to 31 July 2024, while 5 percent of the total visitors came during the period from 21 to 30 June 2024.
