Manama, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), met with Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Bahrain. The meeting discussed bilateral relations and means to develop them in the labour field. Minister Humaidan briefed the ambassador on Bahrain's ongoing initiatives to align its national labor systems and legislation with international standards, aiming to enhance the labour market and promote a healthy working environment. Ambassador Mendis commended Bahrain's progressive labour laws and its commitment to protecting workers' rights. She also praised Bahrain's consistent achievements in combating human trafficking, noting its recognition in the top global tier for the seventh consecutive year.
