The Lebanese American University (LAU) proudly announces that Thomas Abraham, a distinguished board member and the first sports ambassador to the United States Olympic and Paralympic Blind Soccer Team, will participate in the Paris 2024 Marathon Pour Tous on August 10, 2024. Thomas's participation in this marathon, sponsored by Orange, underscores his dedication to sports and fitness. His qualification for this race is a significant achievement, adding to his ABBOTT collection of international marathons, including London, Berlin, Tokyo, New York, Chicago, Boston, and the Beirut Marathon. As an advocate for inclusivity in sports, Thomas aims to raise funds for the Miami Lighthouse Blind Soccer Sports Program, supporting visually impaired athletes and the USA Paralympic Blind Soccer Team. Contributions will fund essential equipment and certifications, including blind soccer balls, blinders, shoes, and soccer panels. "Running in the Paris 2024 Marathon Pour Tous is an incredible honor and opportunity to bring attention to the challenges faced by visually impaired athletes," said Thomas Abraham. "I am grateful for the unwavering support from Lebanese American University and the broader community." Source: National News Agency - Lebanon
