The Lebanese Army Command, through its Directorate of Guidance, on Tuesday issued a statement in response to media reports regarding the alleged withdrawal of army units from their southern border positions amid escalating Israeli aggression. "As Israeli forces continue their increasing and barbaric attacks on various Lebanese areas, some media outlets have circulated inaccurate information suggesting that the army has withdrawn several kilometers from its border posts due to enemy preparations for a ground operation within Lebanese territory," the statement reads. The Army Command emphasized that its military units deployed in the south are engaged in repositioning some of their forward observation points within their designated areas of responsibility. The statement reassured the public that the Army leadership continues to collaborate and coordinate with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to ensure stability in the region.
