Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed in a statement its "full solidarity with the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt" and condemned the Israeli Prime Minister's accusations against it regarding the Philadelphi crossing. In its issued statement, the Ministry considered these accusations as an attempt to obstruct mediation efforts and prolong the crisis. The ministry expressed its "strong appreciation for the great efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt to decrease escalation in the region and for the active and constructive role it plays, along with Qatar and the United States of America, in the ongoing negotiations to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza." The ministry also expressed its "appreciation for Egypt's historic positions in support of Lebanon's sovereignty, security and stability," hailing its "sincere and continuous efforts to spare Lebanon and the region a large-scale destructive war."
