Muscat: Dr. Amer Bassat, Minister of Economy and Trade of the Lebanese Republic, visited the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates 'Madayn' at its headquarters in the Knowledge Oasis Muscat today. Eng. Dawood bin Salim Al Hadabi, CEO of Madayn, welcomed the delegation and shared insights into Madayn's vision of positioning the Sultanate of Oman as a leading regional center of manufacturing, ICT, innovation, and entrepreneurship excellence. The mission focuses on attracting industrial investments and providing continued support through competitive strategies, excellent infrastructure, and easy governmental processes. According to Oman News Agency, Khalid Al Salehi, Director General of Marketing and Commercial Affairs at Madayn, presented Madayn's key objectives. These include attracting foreign investments to Oman, localizing national capital, stimulating the private sector for sustainable economic and social development, achieving environmental sustainability, and creating new job opportunities for nat ional cadres. Al Salehi highlighted key projects across Madayn's industrial cities, investor incentives, and opportunities, with a focus on targeted sectors for future phases. The Lebanese delegation, led by Dr. Bassat, toured Al Rusayl Industrial City, visiting Oman Fiber Optic Company. Founded in 1996, the company plays a vital role in Oman's digital infrastructure by designing and implementing fiber optic networks for telecom and internet projects, and interconnecting government and private entities. The company offers integrated solutions in manufacturing, engineering design, installation, and maintenance to support Oman's digital transformation needs.
