Muscat: The Main Committee for Sighting the Crescents of the Hijri Months at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs will convene tomorrow 'Monday' to observe the crescent of Muharram for the year 1448 AH. The committee meeting will be chaired by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has called upon citizens and residents to assist in sighting the crescent. This effort is to be coordinated with field teams across the wilayats, or by contacting the subcommittees based at the offices of the Walis.
