Caretaker Minister of Information, Engineer Ziad Makary, received, at his ministry office on Wednesday, the Editor-in-Chief of LebTalks website, Christiane Gemayel, who thanked him for his "position refusing the appearance of journalists before any security or military apparatus." Gemayel considered that the Minister has established the principle for holding journalists accountable before the concerned judiciary, pending the issuance of a new and modern media law that the Ministry has previously submitted to the House of Parliament, currently under study. Gemayel was summoned for investigation by the Lebanese Cybercrime Bureau over an article, and after hearing her legal representative, the file was referred to the Publications Court.
