Maronite Antonine Order Commemorates 325 Years with President Aoun and Patriarch Al-Rahi

Beirut: The Maronite Antonine Order marked its 325th anniversary with a significant ceremony held at the Monastery of Saint Shaya in Metn. The event was graced by the presence of President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun, First Lady Neamat Aoun, and Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ceremony featured a homily by Patriarch Al-Rahi, who, after the Gospel reading, led a prayer with President Aoun for the extension of state sovereignty and the establishment of enduring peace throughout Lebanon. The Patriarch emphasized the need for a national reconstruction plan and expressed hopes for Lebanon to remain a "nation of mission and calling, a land of holiness and witness, a country of unity in diversity intended by God to be a beacon in the East."

Furthermore, Patriarch Al-Rahi urged for a sincere national commitment and continuous efforts to transcend the mentality of quota-sharing, obstruction, and isolation. He called for an inclusive national vision that focuses on building rather than destroying, and unifying rather than dividing.
