Manama: The 8th International Cardiology Conference, organised by the Royal Medical Services' Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre in collaboration with Mayo Clinic, began today and will continue until November 9. The conference has attracted prominent cardiology consultants from the United States to share their expertise, present the latest advancements in cardiology research, and explore innovative treatment methods and technologies. According to Bahrain News Agency, the event is designed to enhance participants' knowledge and skills to improve patient care and provide access to further resources for ongoing education. The Mayo Clinic International Conference, held in Bahrain, represents a unique occurrence outside the United States. With around 300 participants, including cardiologists, medical students, and researchers, the event highlights Bahrain's commitment to advancing cardiac care through the exchange of expertise. On its inaugural day, the conference focused on car diac diseases, while the second day is set to address prevention and chronic illnesses. The third day will cover cardiac electrophysiology and vascular medicine, with the fourth and final day concluding with broader discussions on various topics.
