Ministry of Culture to Organize ‘Cultural Initiatives Forum 2026’ in Muscat

Muscat: The third edition of the 'Cultural Initiatives Forum 2026' will begin tomorrow in the Governorate of Muscat, under the slogan "Towards a Sustainable Cultural Partnership". The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth at Bait Al Zubair Museum and will feature 50 cultural initiatives from different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. According to Oman News Agency, the forum reflects the Ministry's efforts to activate the partnership between community institutions and the public sector. It also aims to enhance the role of cultural initiatives in a way that contributes to developing an institutional cultural scheme that benefits society in a sustainable manner. The programme of the event includes dialogue sessions and panel discussions that bring together leaders of cultural initiatives. Attendees will have the opportunity to review case studies and practical experiences to explore the future of cultural work. Additionally, interactive workshops will demonstrate how digital lit eracy can be used to develop and sustain the impact of cultural initiatives. The event will also feature a poetry evening and a visit to a cultural facility in Muscat Governorate, offering participants an opportunity to learn about cultural experiences and exchange ideas and expertise.
