Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, today launched the Event-Based Surveillance (EBS) project, along with the graduation of two new cohorts of national professionals from Frontline Public Health Empowerment Program in Field Epidemiology Training Program - (Frontline FETP).
According to Oman News Agency, the launch of the EBS project is a significant step in enhancing the MOH's capabilities to monitor and respond to public health events. The project aims to improve the detection of public health threats by analyzing data from various sources, thus strengthening the overall disease surveillance system in the country.
The graduation of the new cohorts from the Frontline Public Health Empowerment Program marks a milestone in the MOH's efforts to build a robust public health workforce.
