Manama, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, emphasised that the issuance of regulatory requirements for housing project areas and their accompanying guide aligns with the rapid urban developments and the beneficiaries' desire to optimise the use of building spaces. He highlighted the importance of continued collaboration among relevant authorities to enhance the legislative, regulatory, and legal frameworks, thereby supporting the achievement of the desired developmental goals. The minister noted that these regulations were developed in coordination between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, represented by the heads of the building permit departments at the Capital Municipality and the three other municipalities, with active participation from the municipal councils in all four governorates. The views of specialists and the proposals from municipal councils were taken into account, ensuring the r egulations support urban development and growth. Minister Al Mubarak further explained that a review of the regulatory requirements outlined in Decision (76) of 2018 was conducted, leading to the adoption of new requirements for housing units, plots, and buildings under the Ministry of Housing's jurisdiction.
