Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) general index experienced a minor decline today, dropping by 3.6 points or 0.08% to close at 4,569.70 points. This slight downturn followed the last session, which concluded at 4,573.30 points.
According to Oman News Agency, despite the dip in the general index, the trading value saw an increase, rising by 9.2% to reach RO 6,284,270, compared to the previous session's RO 5,752,697. The MSX report highlighted a growth in market value, which ascended by 1.351% to approximately RO 27.96 billion.
The report further detailed that the trading activity among non-Omani investors saw the purchase of shares valued at RO 361,000, making up 5.75% of the total trading value. Conversely, the shares sold by non-Omani investors amounted to RO 435,000, representing 6.93%. This resulted in a net decrease in non-Omani investment by 1.18%, equating to RO 74,000.
