Muscat: Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) today launched a guide on the 'Best Investor Relations Practices'. The move was aimed at instilling investor confidence and developing communication channels between companies and stakeholders, in line with the best international standards in the field. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Ibtisam Ahmed Al Farooji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion. According to Oman News Agency, Majda Sheikhan Al Ma'amari, Director of the Sustainable Investment Centre at MSX, stated that the launch of the new guide was in pursuance of MSX strategic plans to achieve sustainable investment, which began with the launch of the Triple Governance Guide last year, in addition to the "Environmental, Social and Governance Disclosure Platform". Majda further explained that the significance of this Guide lies in highlighting the role of a firm's 'investor relations officer (IRO)', who serves as a bridge of communication wit h all investors, analysts, and interested parties. The IRO provides both financial and non-financial data, including environmental, social, and governance data. The Guide's launch represents a step forward in supporting companies and enhancing their presence in global markets. It also aims to position MSX as a strategic partner in developing financial markets in the region and establishing sustainable and responsible investment practices.
