NASA and SpaceX Postpone Crew-13 Mission Due to Oxidizer Leak

Cape canaveral: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and SpaceX have announced an adjustment to the launch date for the Crew-13 mission to the International Space Station. This decision follows the detection of an oxidizer leak in the Dragon spacecraft's propulsion system during standard prelaunch processing. According to Oman News Agency, joint teams from NASA and SpaceX are conducting additional tests and reviewing data to ensure safety before proceeding with the mission. Any necessary rework will be completed prior to establishing a new launch date, which will be announced as soon as it becomes available. NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney have been designated as the spacecraft commander and pilot, respectively. They will be accompanied by Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov, who will serve as mission specialists. Upon reaching the International Space Station, the Crew-13 team will integrate into the Expedition 75 te am. Preparations for the mission include a quarantine period of approximately two weeks at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. The Crew-13 mission is set to launch aboard SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft, which will be propelled by the Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
