NCSI and MCBS Forge Partnership to Boost Training and Research


Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has entered into a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) in Muscat. This agreement aims to advance academic training and scholarly research initiatives.



According to Oman News Agency, the MoC outlines collaboration between the two parties to enhance practical training opportunities for college students and provide academic services that fulfill the needs of both institutions. It also includes plans to implement studies and research projects.



The agreement focuses on expanding the use of smart solutions in statistical and information technologies and developing training programs to enhance the skills of national human resources.



The memorandum was signed by Dr. Khalifa Abdullah Al Barwani, CEO of the NCSI, and Dr. Muneer Mohammed Al Maskari, CEO of the MCBS. Al Barwani expressed that the MoC demonstrates a commitment to fostering an environment conducive to innovation and research in Oman. The partnership with MCBS is considered a crucial step in preparing a new generation of skilled national professionals who can contribute effectively to building a comprehensive knowledge system to support informed decision-making.



Al Barwani further highlighted that the MoC strengthens efforts to enhance statistical work in Oman by sharing expertise and resources. He noted that scholarly research is a vital component of economic and social development and an essential factor in achieving sustainable growth.
