Muscat:According to Oman News Agency, the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) is conducting its 51st Consumer Confidence Survey for the third quarter of 2026. This four-day survey is scheduled from September 27 to 30 and is designed to gauge Omani citizens' perceptions of current economic conditions and their expectations for future economic developments.
The survey serves as an essential tool for the NCSI to assess public opinion on various economic factors. These include price levels, employment opportunities, the cost of living, economic policies, and consumers' spending and consumption capacities. It also evaluates the level of optimism regarding potential improvements in economic conditions over the next twelve months.
Targeting a minimum of 1,500 Omani citizens aged 18 and above, the survey uses a representative sample to ensure balanced geographic representation. It also takes into account gender, age groups, and educational segments, ensuring that the results accurately reflect public trends.
