Muscat: Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), welcomed Rear Admiral Hugues Laine, Commander of the French Forces in the Indian Ocean, at his office at Bait Al Falaj Camp today. The meeting focused on discussions about several matters of mutual interest between the two military leaders.

According to Oman News Agency, Rear Admiral Hugues Laine also delivered a lecture addressing strategic issues affecting the Indian Ocean and how these issues impact various countries. The lecture was part of his visit and provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on regional security and cooperation.

The meeting was attended by several senior officers from the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security units, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts and dialogue between the two nations' military forces.
