President Ram Chandra Poudel of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal today received Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi at the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu. The Minister conveyed the greetings and sincere sentiments of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the President, along with His Majesty's wishes of further progress and prosperity to the friendly Nepalese people. He also conveyed His Majesty's wishes of more development and advancement in relations between the two countries. For his part, President Ram Chandra asked the Foreign Minister to convey his heartfelt greetings to His Majesty, along with his sincere wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and Omani people. He hoped that relations between the two friendly countries would continue to grow and flourish. The meeting dealt with the two countries keenness to develop ties in various fields in a manner that would bring mutual benefits to the two countries and their peoples. It also touched on issues and developments on the regional and international arenas. The meeting was attended by Issa Saleh Al Shaibani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of India, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and other officials from both sides.
