Bethlehem - Ma'an - The General Assembly of the "Sham Writers Forum in Palestine" Association, registered with the Ministries of Interior and Culture, held its regular meeting yesterday evening, Saturday 8/31/2024, at the headquarters of the "Ibdaa Foundation" - Deheishe, to elect a new board of directors for the association for a period of three years. At the beginning of the meeting, the former Chairman of the Board of Directors, poet Mohammed Shraim, submitted the resignation of the Board, paving the way for the General Assembly to elect the new Board of Directors consisting of nine members. The election process then took place in accordance with the Association's bylaws, and the members of the new Board were chosen by acclamation. After the conclusion of the regular general assembly meeting, the elected board of directors of the 'Sham Writers Forum in Palestine' Association held its first meeting to distribute administrative positions to its members, as follows: Poet Mohammed Shraim as President, write r Mike Salman as Vice President, writer Ahmed Al-Sayfi as Secretary, poet Jarar Gharib as Treasurer and External Relations Officer, writer Mohammed Al-Awisat as Coordinator of Arab Relations and Media, writer and visual artist Masada Sabat as General Activities Coordinator, writer William Voskerjian as Publications and Publishing Officer, writer Jamil Hussein Hamamra (Al-Hosani) as Internal Relations Officer, writer Mohammed Shahada as Membership Officer. The election of the new Board of Directors was supervised by a committee consisting of the Director of the Educator Creativity Foundation, Khaled Al-Saifi, as Chairman, and the writer Adnan Al-Aridi as a member.
