North al batinah: The Office of the Governor of North Al Batinah organized the Governorates' Financial Forum under the slogan "Governance and Efficiency and Impact." This two-day event aims to enhance financial management efficiency, reinforce governance and sustainability principles, and elevate institutional performance quality in alignment with the goals of Oman Vision 2040. The forum was inaugurated under the patronage of Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah.
According to Oman News Agency, the forum will cover multiple themes, including Financial Management in Governorates, Budgets and Financial Planning, Governance and Financial Control, Financial Policies and Implementation-Related Phenomena. It also provides a platform for sharing best financial practices and expertise among the governorates.
The first day of the event featured three specialized working papers. The initial paper examined the projections of financial policies in the Sultanate of Oman and their impact on the governorates. The second paper centered on the framework for committees established following the National Committee for Emergency Management. The final paper compared results-based budgeting with line-item budgeting.
Additionally, a dialogue session titled "Financial Policies and Resource Management: Towards Efficiency and Sustainability at the Governorate Level" was held, focusing on enhancing resource management efficiency and achieving financial sustainability in the governorates. A visual presentation on the finances of North Al Batinah Governorate for 2025 was also showcased.
