Muscat: The total number of beneficiaries of the Social Protection Scheme in Al Buraimi Governorate stood at 38,190 by the end of July 2026, according to statistics issued by the Social Protection Fund in Al Buraimi.
According to Oman News Agency, Hilal bin Salim Al Shamsi, Director of the Social Protection Department in Al Buraimi Governorate, stated that the Social Protection Scheme aims to ensure that legally mandated benefits reach their deserving recipients.
Al Shamsi highlighted that the Childhood Benefit Programme had the highest number of beneficiaries, exceeding 29,000. This was followed by the Elderly Benefit Programme with 4,000 beneficiaries, the Family Income Support Benefit with 2,896 beneficiaries, the Disability Benefit with 1,379 beneficiaries, and the Orphans and Widows Benefit with 522 beneficiaries.
