Washington - Ma'an - The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed that the bombing and hostilities continue to kill, injure and displace Palestinians, and destroy infrastructure. The UN office stated that during the past 48 hours, 3 schools housing displaced persons in Gaza were bombed, resulting in dozens of casualties. In a statement on Tuesday, UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq pointed to the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza as violence continues, calling on all parties to the conflict to respect their obligations under international humanitarian law, including allowing civilians to leave for safer areas.
