Oman Hockey Association (OHA) today announced details of the First Edition of Oman Open Hockey Five-a-Asides (Hockey5s) Championships Schedule. The tournament, to be held from 8 to 11 September, will see the participation of 8 teams: Those of the Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Guard of Oman, the Royal Navy of Oman, Al Fayhaa Establishment, Security and Safety Corporation, Jindal Shadeed Company, Badr Al Samaa Group and FAB Company. The tournament's schedule was unveiled during the press conference held today at the building of the premises of Oman Olympic Committee and Sports Federations in the presence of Dr. Marwan Juma Al Juma, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Hockey Association, the tournament's technical director Faisal Habib Al Balushi and representatives of the teams participating in the tournament. Al Juma told reporters that OHA seeks to spread the game of 5-asides in the Sultanate of Oman. 'This tournament, which attracts contesters from military and private sectors, is in pursuance of O HA's programmes and activities, following the association's success in organizing Oman International Women's Hockey5s 2023', he added.
