Oil Minister receives Sri Lankan Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Bahrain. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the energy sector. Dr. bin Daina commended the strong ties between Bahrain and Sri Lanka and highlighted Sri Lanka's progress in renewable energy projects. He emphasised Bahrain's commitment to strengthening collaboration, exchanging expertise, and exploring investment opportunities in this vital field. Both sides discussed common interests in energy and climate security, focusing on advancing shared objectives. Ambassador Mendis expressed her country's keen interest in expanding cooperation in the energy sector and reaffirmed Sri Lanka's commitment to fostering closer ties with Bahrain for the benefit of both nations.
