Muscat: A session of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt was held at the Foreign Ministry today. The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Faisal Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department at the Foreign Ministry, while the Egyptian side was headed by Ehab Fahmy, Egypt's Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Arab Affairs.
According to Oman News Agency, both sides expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors such as economy, trade, investment, culture, and tourism. They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest and emphasized the importance of diplomatic solutions to crises. The session highlighted the principles of dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect, along with support for joint Arab action.
The meeting was attended by Yasser Mohamed Ahmed Shaaban, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate of Oman, as well as government officials from both nations.
