Oman and Lebanon Discuss Educational Collaboration

Muscat: Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shibani, Minister of Education, received Dr. Rima Karami, Minister of Education and Higher Education of the Lebanese Republic, to explore areas of educational cooperation between Oman and Lebanon.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was part of Dr. Karami's official visit to Oman, focusing on enhancing educational cooperation and exchanging expertise in educational fields. The discussions covered strategic planning, development of educational policies and programs, digital transformation in educational administration and teaching processes, as well as evaluation mechanisms and quality assurance in basic and secondary education.

The officials also reviewed the progress of the Memorandum of Understanding between the education ministries of Oman and Lebanon. Procedures are being finalized for its signing at the Omani-Lebanese Joint Committee meetings.

An expanded meeting was also held, where the Lebanese delegation presented a paper on "The Education Sector in the Lebanese Republic," while the Omani side shared insights on "School Education in the Sultanate of Oman and its Future Prospects."
