Oman and Netherlands Sign Declaration of Intent on Work Permits

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Foreign Ministry, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have signed a Declaration of Intent focusing on a draft work permit agreement for the spouses of official employees between the two countries.

According to Oman News Agency, the Declaration of Intent was signed on behalf of Oman by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, while Caspar Veldkamp, Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed on behalf of the Netherlands. This declaration aims to facilitate ongoing discussions regarding the work permits for spouses of official employees residing in the host country.

The initiative signifies a mutual commitment to strengthen ties and extends bilateral cooperation between Oman and the Netherlands. Both nations view this as a strategic step in enriching diplomatic relations and enhancing workforce mobility for their respective official employees.
