Oman: Oman national beach handball team concluded its campaign in the 2026 Beach Handball World Championship, which wrapped up today in the Croatian capital, Zagreb. The tournament featured the participation of 16 national teams from around the world. According to Oman News Agency, the national team's final standing came following a defeat to the United States in straight sets during the 13th-14th place classification match. The first set ended 17-16, while the American team clinched the second set 21-18. Throughout the tournament, the Omani squad delivered competitive performances, securing two victories over Australia-both in straight sets. The first came during the group stage, while the second was in the classification rounds. The team also engaged in closely contested matches against several of the world's leading beach handball nations. This marks Oman's ninth appearance in Beach Handball World Championships, reaffirming the Sultanate of Oman's continued presence on the international stage and its on going commitment to advancing the sport and boosting its global standing.
