Muscat: Oman cricket team secured a significant victory over their Singaporean counterparts by a margin of 131 runs, in their opening fixture of Group II of the 2026 Men's Asia Cup (50-over format), held at the Bayuemas Oval in Malaysia. According to Oman News Agency, with this win, the national team claimed its first two points of the tournament, strengthening its prospects of competing for a qualification berth to the 2027 Asia Cup. The national team is scheduled to play its next match against Qatar on Wednesday in Bandar Penawar, Malaysia, before facing Kuwait on 5 September and the United Arab Emirates on 8 September in the same group-stage fixtures.
