Oman E-Commerce Forum 2025 Showcases Global Updates in Digital Economy

Muscat: Oman Investment Authority (OIA) has launched a new legal specialization track, termed 'Mutamad' (or Accredited), for employment-linked training. The programme is in pursuance of earlier programmes launched by the OIA in the fields of finance, accounting and cybersecurity. It reflects the OIA's drive to develop the skills of Omani graduates and prepare them to join the labour market.

According to Oman News Agency, the programme seeks to hone the skills of fresh graduates and assist them to obtain the International Professional Bar Qualification Certificate accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (of Britain). The programme's entry criteria include two sets of tests (oral and written) to assess the candidates' practical legal knowledge. The requirements for joining the programme include a Bachelor's degree in law with a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of not less than 2.7 for graduates who obtained their qualifications in years 2023, 2024 and 2025).

Registration to the programme will be open until 29 September 2025, after which those who meet the requirements will proceed to the written tests and personal interviews.
