Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, received Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade and investment fields. The meeting emphasized activating the Oman-Egypt Businessmen Council as a key platform for strengthening economic ties.
According to Oman News Agency, the ministers discussed diversifying the products exported and imported between the two countries to broaden economic cooperation. They also explored methods to enhance joint investments, encouraging private sector establishments in both nations to seek promising opportunities.
The discussion highlighted the importance of promoting integration in logistics and the development of sea lanes between Oman and Egypt. The talks included considerations of offering incentives and facilities to support these initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, Khalid Mohammed Abdul Halim Radi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate of Oman, and several officials from both sides.
