Oman Engages in Global Research Council’s 13th Annual Meeting

Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman is actively participating in the 13th annual meeting of the Global Research Council, which is being held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will continue until 22 May. Leading the Omani delegation is Dr. Saif Abdullah Al Haddabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation for Research and Innovation.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting brings together over 50 delegations composed of heads of national research councils and government funding agencies from around the globe. The primary objectives of the gathering are to enhance international scientific cooperation and to enable the exchange of expertise and knowledge among research and funding institutions worldwide. Additionally, the meeting focuses on global ambitions in research, development, and innovation, which are goals that many countries are striving to achieve.

The agenda of the meeting features several side events, panel discussions, and presentations of working papers by keynote speakers. Key topics include the application of artificial intelligence in managing and evaluating scientific research, innovation support programs, and assessing their impact on national economies.
