New Delhi: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA), has signed an executive programme with the National Archives of India in New Delhi, Republic of India, to enhance cooperation in historical documentation and the management of records and archives.
According to Oman News Agency, the programme was signed by Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Dhoyani, NRAA Chairman, and Arun Singhal, Director General of the National Archives of India. The agreement outlines cooperation items aimed at promoting collaboration in the areas of document copying, manuscript and book printing, and exchange. It also includes initiatives for preserving and maintaining documentary documents and related technologies, as well as joint efforts in publishing documentary, cultural, literary, and historical publications.
The signing ceremony was attended by Issa bin Saleh Al Shaibani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of India, highlighting the importance of the bilateral relationship and mutual interest in preserving historical records.
