Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held a session of talks today with Bakary Yaou Sangaré, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad of the Republic of Niger. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing an economic partnership between the two nations. According to Oman News Agency, the two sides explored areas of cooperation and opportunities to enhance commercial and economic ties. They agreed to advance several agreements and memorandums of understanding to facilitate increased exchange and communication at both government and private sector levels. The ministers expressed their commitment to fostering commercial and investment exchange and building capacities to achieve mutual benefits and shared interests. In addition to economic matters, the ministers exchanged views on various regional and international issues of common interest. They emphasized the importance of ongoing consultation and coordination between Oman and Niger. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Ali Al Balushi, Head of the Africa Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with several officials from both sides.
